VOLUNTEERING WITH F.R.E.E.
F.R.E.E. is a volunteer organization. Volunteers enable us to serve children and adults with special needs. Whether your interest is in therapy or horses, there is a place for you in F.R.E.E.
What could I do?
There is no experience necessary! Check out these opportunities:
Working directly with horses
*Volunteers serve as horse leaders and side walkers, enabling the riders to participate in class activities, including walking, trotting, stretching, games and more.
*Help exercise horses at the barn, clean stalls, groom, etc.
Serve on the Board or on a committee.
Is there training?
The only requirement is being a caring person who wants to help people with disabilities

How much time is required?
Volunteers in therapeutic classes are asked to be available for at least one class
each week during class sessions. There are spring, summer and fall sessions from
March through October. Classes are scheduled on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays,

As a volunteer it is very rewarding to provide a helping hand to riders who have special needs. It is even more rewarding when a rider recognizes you away from the arena and is so excited to see you.
