HISTORY
Formed in 1983 as ‘Let’s Ride,’ the organization name was changed to Front Range
Exceptional Equestrians (F.R.E.E.) in 1987 and became a non-

F.R.E.E. received the 2009 Mayor’s award for Service Provider of the Year.
Alternative Cooperative Education (ACE) provides work experience for high school students with special needs. ACE held its 2011 recognition celebration in May. One of our riders, an ACE intern from Fossil Ridge High School, was awarded Outstanding Senior of the Year. Front Range Exceptional Equestrians received The ACE Outstanding Employer of the year.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Our volunteer Board of Directors meets
monthly to review the status of horses,
classes, finances and other matters.
Board members include F.R.E.E. riders,
parents of riders, horse professionals and
business professionals from various fields.
This mix allows us to administer the program
with input from all involved.
